Freedom Fire Stars Majorette Corps
The Freedom Fire Stars are under the direction
of Judi Marlatt,
a registered National Baton Twirling Association Coach and Judge.
They have been twirling with the Freedom Area Recreation Council since 1993.
The Fire Stars actively compete in National Baton Twirling indoor competitions
and march
in area parades, such as the Arbutus July 4th Parade and the Winfield VFD
Parade. Their competition season runs from March through July,
usually consisting of 10-15 events.
Classes are held at Piney Ridge Elementary
School, 6315 Freedom Ave., Eldersburg, on Tuesday evening
for 1 hour starting at 6:30PM, individual class times determined by coach.
No experience necessary! Come and have some twirling fun!
Falls, spring and summer twirling camps are
held to introduce the sport of twirling.
Basic baton twirling and marching techniques are taught in a 4-week session.
